HOW IT WORKS
Hypnosis
More than ever, people are seeking alternatives to conventional medicine. Hypnosis has become increasingly recognized as a form of health treatment, and is widely accepted as a compliment to regular medical care.
In 1958, the American Medical Association conducted a two year study, which yielded that there are: “definite and proper uses of hypnosis in medical and dental practice”. Also, both the National Institute of Health and the Mayo Clinic have published extended reviews and studies that demonstrate hypnosis is extremely effective in pain management in areas such as surgery, childbirth, IBS, and an alternative medicinal treatment. One particular study revealed that out of 31,000 adults, almost half of them use a form of complementary or alternative treatment to medicine.
Hypnosis is simply a form of focused relaxation. It is a guided process to allow you to enter a hypnotic state that helps you reduce stress, relieve pain, and create a positive feeling in your life. Hypnosis is a skill that is taught to you, not done to you. In fact, most experts agree that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Anyone of normal intelligence can be taught the skill, and the practice can be adjusted to best fit an individual’s needs.
Hypnosis for IBS
Even though many sufferers of IBS look to conventional medicine for relief, some do not find it. Even those that manage their symptoms with medicine still have many issues with the side effects it brings. However, our methods offer more than temporary relief from the discomfort. The methods we have developed have proven successful with hundreds of individuals seeking relief from IBS. Most importantly, there are zero negative side effects to our treatment.
We help you use hypnosis to reeducate your digestive system through a series of gut-directed suggestions. The goal is to assist in calming more than your mind; the best way to relieve the pain is to teach your body how to prevent it before it starts. In fact, this method is so successful that last December, US News & World Report stated that mind-body techniques, such as hypnosis, are effective in alleviating IBS symptoms.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who can be hypnotized?
The simple answer is, anyone of normal intelligence who has the desire and will to be hypnotized. Experts agree that all hypnosis is self hypnosis. The hypnotist guides you into the state where you are receptive to positive suggestions for change. Hypnosis enables you to bypass the critical part of your mind to access the subconscious mind where all your beliefs, habits, and behaviors are stored.
What will I experience?
Trance is a natural state that we experience in our daily lives. It can be compared to what you experience just before you fall asleep. You are aware of your surroundings and hear what is said. You will feel that you are in a contented space with your eyes closed.
Will I do something against my will?
No. When you are hypnotized you are aware of the suggestions that are given to you. You will always have the ability and freedom to
accept or reject any suggestion made. Consequently, you are in control.
What would happen if you cannot bring me out of the hypnotic state?
There is no danger of a person
failing to come out of the hypnotic state. You would either return to
alertness if you no longer heard the hypnotist's voice, or would drift
off into a natural state of sleep and would awaken after you rested.
